The highs, the lows, and the mid ranges produce professional studio quality sound with a very sensitive response. From its included mini tripod set up and ease of use on all my USB enabled products, to the exceptional audio quality on all of the various recordings I do, I found this microphone to be everything I had hoped for. The microphone uses the USB audio codec that is part of the operating system.
Mic is extremely fussy with Uab on a Windows 7 laptop. This microphone gives you clear sound with a minimum of fuss. Unfortunately there isn’t a way to do so. As a side hechnica microphone, the ATUSB would not serve your intended application as well as a microphone designed for that application such as a front address condenser stick microphone or a shotgun microphone. Three of us fiddled with it for hours yesterday and eventually got it to work with the software.
I bought this mic, plugged it in and had an afternoon of low-quality, low-level recording issues in Audacity, Ableton Live and then Adobe Audition.
A fan of Audio-Technica audil I consulted with an audio expert and this mic was recommended. The sound is clear and accurate for the human voice and the built-in USB connection eliminates the need for and external mixer or analog-to-digital converter.
Not only is it easy to set up and use, but the sound quality is excellent. With low self-noise, the AT USB is perfectly suited for sophisticated digital recording equipment. Couldn’t replicate it again today; after several frustrating hours, it still won’t work with Mad.
Like the AT, it features a low-mass diaphragm, custom-engineered for extended frequency response and superior transient response.
A quick lookup on the web revealed that there are a multitude of issues with nearly all USB powered mics since the release of Windows I have not been disappointed. I use this mic for recording podcasts and voice-overs for software demonstrations. Thank you for your inquiry. Sound is phenomenal, though the tripod it comes with is cheaply made and will break if the microphone falls.
Plug it in and transform your sound. Only problem I’m having is that for some reason my codec splits it into two inputs, and the hechnica input is considerably louder on the left channel than it is on the right.
